LANSING – The Michigan Economic Development Corporation Wednesday announced the launch of its newly redesigned website, www.MichiganBusiness.org, replacing MichiganAdvantage.Org.
?Michigan offers business advantages unlike anywhere else, so we?ve revamped our website to better showcase them,? said Leslie Hornung, MEDC senior vice president of marketing, communications and public relations. ?We based many features on user feedback, and visitors to the new michiganbusiness.org site will find enhanced content that is more tailored and easier to find, and all aimed at improving the overall experience for users.?
The new site carries over much of the information and resources from the prior website but also includes new tools like an easy-to-use site selection database with more than 10,000 commercial property listings in Michigan. It provides global site selectors, commercial realtors, businesses and others with property, demographic and labor force information.
The site is broken down into six sections, each intended to more efficiently serve its intended external audience : Why Michigan, Start Up, Grow, Community, About MEDC and Site Selection. The home page features the ?Why Michigan? stories of entrepreneurs, business leaders and community members from around the state. The featured individuals will change on a regular basis to keep the content fresh.
The new site?s use of responsive design eliminates the need to create different sites for different Internet devices. Users will have the same experience on michiganbusiness.org whether they are accessing the site through their mobile phone, an iPad or tablet, laptop and desktop computers.
CiesaDesign, located in Lansing, created the new design and McCann Worldwide assisted with content and search engine optimization. The website is managed by MEDC.
