ANN ARBOR – Merit Network will host JNCIA-M Certification Bootcamp, an intensive 5-day course that prepares students for the Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate exam. This course will be taught during the week of April 14 at the Michigan Information Technology Center in Ann Arbor.
The Bootcamp is an excellent development opportunity for people who have basic Juniper OS skills. Students should be familiar with the Juniper Networks CLI and be capable of configuring a basic OSPF and BGP network using the JUNOS software.
During the week, students will be presented with individual topics and problems to solve including the JUNOS software CLI, RIP, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, firewalls, and routing policy. Each topic is explained in detail and students practice their skills using live routers and through numerous practice mini-exams. The boot camp is approximately 80 percent lecture and 20 percent hands-on lab. Class size is taught with one router per two students, and class size is limited to 16.
On the final day of the course, students are presented with a review and a complete practice exam that closely simulates the actual JNCIA testing environment. All students receive a free certification exam voucher good for the JNCIA-M exam, an online JNCIA-M practice exam, and three JNCIA-M written practice exams at the conclusion of class. The Bootcamp is taught by iPath Technologies, a Juniper training partner and the only organization in the U.S. providing the course in this format.
