TROY – The Michigan Humane Society has selected Billhighway to provide lockbox services, automated donation processing and back-office integration to the state?s oldest and largest animal welfare organization.

With its constant-improvement philosophy and strong focus on stewardship, MHS recognized an opportunity to further streamline its fundraising operations in 2013. To support multi-channel fundraising efforts, investments had been made in several payment processors and software systems to manage donations resulting from its various campaigns. MHS sought out local technology provider Billhighway to architect a solution.

Billhighway will automate offline and online donation processing through Lockbox360, a secure payment center that processes donations the day they?re received. Through a robust plug-in, Billhighway will integrate payments and donor data to The Raiser?s Edge, the donor management system used by MHS. The result will be a centralized and highly configurable system that streamlines payment processing and record updates regardless of how gifts are received.

?We?re thrilled to help the Michigan Humane Society meet their goals through a cutting-edge technology implementation,? said Tracy-Ann Palmer, Chief Growth Officer at Billhighway. ?We look forward to continued innovation as their needs evolve.?

?At the Michigan Humane Society, achieving the highest level of stewardship is of utmost importance,? said David Gregory, MHS Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. ?The Billhighway program will allow us to achieve even greater efficiencies and ultimately, allocate more funds to rescuing and caring for thousands of animals in need.?
