TROY – Macomb County will host a third MV2 Conference on January 22 at Automation Alley for employers who would like to learn more about hiring veterans.

Topics include talent acquisition and retention, the transition from military to civilian employment, workforce productivity, and an overview of the MV2 certification program. Representative from the Michigan National Guard, Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve, and the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency will also present information about state and federal government resources available to assist employers.

The conference is the third to be presented in Michigan by TMG, Inc., a workplace efficiency and training company that manages the successful ?Virginia Values Veterans? program. The conference will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“Since we launched MV2 in September 2013 there has been an incredibly positive response by Michigan businesses,? said Joe Barto, Founder and President of TMG. ?Our model works and we are proud to be on this mission to train and coach companies in Michigan. To date, 12 employers from across Michigan have entered the MV2 Certification program and have pledged a total of 118 jobs for veterans over the next year.?
