GALESBURG – Power management company Eaton has named Michael Omotoso senior manager, Global Automotive Market Intelligence. Omotoso is based in Southfield, Michigan, reporting directly to Tom Nellenbach, director of global marketing for Eaton?s Vehicle Group.
Omotoso is responsible for leading market research initiatives for Eaton?s Automotive operations and developing related sales forecasts by region, segment, product and customer. In this capacity, he will work closely with Eaton?s sales, engineering and product teams to identify risks and opportunities for key market drivers.
?Michael is a great addition to Eaton?s global marketing organization, with a wealth of knowledge and industry experience that will help us grow our automotive business,? Nellenbach said. ?He will work with our product teams to target research and development efforts on new technologies that provide the most value to Eaton and our customers.?
Omotoso previously worked for LMC Automotive (formerly J.D. Power & Associates), where he most recently was in charge of global powertrain forecasting. He also held senior research management positions with TI Automotive, IHS (formerly Global Insight) and London-based DRI-WEFA.
Omotoso has a bachelor?s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Surrey in Guildford, England. He holds a master?s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from Boston University.
