OTBackup provides continuous data backup between Online Tech’s two Michigan data centers in Ann Arbor and Flint. The data centers are located 53 miles apart on two separate power grids supported by two different utility providers and are interconnected through a Gigabit fiber.
A minimum of fifty miles between the production and disaster recovery data centers is generally considered best practice in the Midwest, given the low frequency and narrow geographical scope of natural disasters in the area.
SaaS hosting clients including VersaIMAGE, AccuMedWeb, uRefer, and HealthMaster all currently use OTBackup to continually back up their data offsite between Online Tech?s data centers.
