SOUTHFIELD – L. Brooks Patterson, Oakland County Executive, on Oct. 1 will provide his viewpoint on the present situation in Michigan; identify the impediments preventing development and growth in the region and discuss various programs to help businesses grow and succeed at the Engineering Society of Detroit monthly meeting.

Attendees will gain a better understanding of the present situation and learn of the initiatives available to help make things better, as well strategies and tactics for economic progress and future opportunities.

Patterson began his career in 1969 as Assistant Oakland County Prosecutor. He was elected Oakland County Prosecutor in 1972 and was first elected to his current position in 1992.

The event will kick off at 7 a.m. with registration and a continental breakfast, followed at 8 a.m. with the presentation. Tickets are $35 for ESD members and $50 for non-members.
