DETROIT – Paul A. Glantz, founder and chair of Emagine Entertainment, and Marcie Brogan, founder and chair of Brogan & Partners, were presented with the in augural Sam Cupp Impact Awards.

These awards celebrate the life and vision of Winning Futures? late founder Sam Cupp. All honorees have impacted their community through charity work, education, or creating opportunities for individuals to have their own business.

Glantz is the driving force behind the development and operations of Emagine Theatres. He has been in the forefront of the technological change in the theatre industry. Paul also serves on the Board of Directors of Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan, is a member of the Wayne State University Foundation, Chairman of the Wayne State University Foundation Investment Committee Board, and Treasurer of the Detroit Chapter of Variety International.

Brogan?s advertising agency is headquartered in Birmingham with a branch in North Carolina?s Research Triangle and a research affiliate in Chicago. She has been active on civic and professional boards: the Nature Conservancy, the Eli Broad School of Management at MSU, the Detroit Regional Chamber, the Adcraft Club and others. She has had a strong focus on mentoring and hiring women and minorities.

Winning Futures is an award-winning non-profit organization that empowers youth to succeed through mentoring and strategic planning. It partners with high schools in metro Detroit to facilitate weekly innovative mentoring sessions in the school where we engage youth through trusting relationships with mentors, energizing experiences, and unforgettable life lessons.

This weekly program is unique in that it has a fun, structured curriculum where mentors teach students though hands-on activities, written exercises, and group discussions. Winning Futures? focus on character value development, self-exploration, goal setting, job readiness skills, overcoming obstacles, and strategic planning. More than 95 percent of students continue their education past high school and have been awarded more than $1.7 million in scholarships to local youth. Since 1994, 30,000 students have been impacted by Winning Futures.
