AUBURN HILLS – Plex Systems Inc., provider of Plex Online, Cloud ERP for manufacturers, Wednesday announced a webinar for the aerospace manufacturing industry, Jump-Start Your Rev. C Compliance, on Dec. 14.
Presented by independent aerospace expert Francis Charbonneau, the webinar will explain how the broad scope of changes coming with AS9100:2009 Rev. C will affect manufacturers in the industry, and how a well-designed roadmap can guide manufacturers? transition to compliance.
Aerospace manufacturers will be challenged to meet Rev. C, which includes a broader scope of changes than required by the previous switch from Rev. A to Rev. B ? especially in the areas of performance data, risk management and supply chain management.
Aerospace and defense manufacturers that have not complied with Rev. C. by July 2012 will be suspended from approved supplier lists ? including the Online Aerospace Supplier Information System (OASIS) ? and run the risk of losing major contracts.
?Manufacturers in the aerospace market are required to achieve compliance with Rev. C of the AS9100 standard or risk removal from the OASIS database,? said Plex Systems Vice President Patrick Fetterman. ?Francis Charbonneau has worked closely with OEMs requiring Rev. C compliance and will share information about the changes that manufacturers need to address the new regulations.?
