ANN ARBOR – Linda Girard, the co-founder of Pure Visibility, has been named one of the Top 10 Michigan Business Women for 2008 by the Greater Detroit Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners.
NAWBO awarded Girard the Up-and-Coming Award, an award that honors dedication to business growth, employee development, owner and personal accomplishments, community involvement, and advocacy for women in business by a business owner who has owned her business for five or fewer years.
“I am honored to receive this award,” Girard said. “My hope is that I can help open the door for other women business owners?to let them know that if they stay focused and believe in a bright future, they can be successful.”
Girard is co-founder of Internet marketing company Pure Visibility, responsible for leading the business direction of the company. Prior to founding Pure Visibility, she ran a search engine optimization business and retained her clientele as the business changed and broadened. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Telecommunications at Eastern Michigan University.
