SALINE – Saline Lectronics, which makes circuit boards for military applications, has completed registration under the U.S. Department of State’s International Traffic in Arms Regulations to export defense-related materials to approved companies.

To qualify for ITAR registration, Saline Lectronics met requirements for corporate structure, security, record-keeping, and procedures to permit the company to manufacture printed circuit boards for sensitive military and intelligence applications.

Enforced by the Department of State, ITAR is a set of regulations controlling the export and import of defense-related materials. It restricts sensitive information and technologies only to be shared with US Persons, unless special approval is acquired.

Saline Lectronics already has experience doing assembly for the military and aerospace industry, but the ITAR specification allows them to do work in cases when design drawings and products require confidentiality. Saline Lectronics spokesmen said they are excited about the new opportunities and challenges ITAR registration brings to the company.
