GRAND RAPIDS – Warner Norcross led a successful $500 million acquisition for CCL Industries earlier this year that involved law firms in 23 countries ? a transaction made possible only by its membership in TerraLex, an international network of 150+ independent law firms in 44 states and 100 countries around the globe.

CCL Industries, a public traded firm based in Toronto, retained Warner Norcross to lead its acquisition of two divisions of California-based Avery Dennison. CCL is a $1.2 billion global specialty packaging and label company with 6,600 employees at 70 manufacturing facilities around the world. Avery Dennison is also a global manufacturer with $6 billion in sales and operations in more than 50 countries.

The two divisions ? Office & Consumer Products and Designed & Engineered Solutions ? had operations in 23 countries from Mexico and China to Argentina and the United Kingdom. The deal involved a tremendous amount of coordination among law firms to make sure that all issues were handled.
