REDFORD TOWNSHIP – Two Michigan based Hollywood special effect companies and the Redford Township Jaycees are combining forces to bring to life the most realistic and scary haunted house of the season: with all of the proceeds going to support families in the local community.
ReelActionFX, a stunt and weapons provider to the movie industry and the Helton Brothers, a special effects firm with a long Hollywood connection are building the Psych Ward theme Haunted House on Telegraph Road in Redford Township.

Robert Mockeridge, Management VP of the Redford Township Jaycees, said the haunted house �??is going to be an outstanding display of Hollywood know how and presentation. The Helton Brothers have created so many authentic displays for clients like Universal Studios Florida and Black Sabbath�??s stage tour set for the Heaven and Hell tour. Add to that the stunt and prop experience of ReelActionFX whose work includes Batman and Robin, Transformers and the soon to be released Irishman and we�??re going to have an amazing haunted house to raise money for needy families.�?�
Potochick said with the movie industry coming to Michigan, the expertise is here to create an attraction of unequalled quality in the area.
�??I can�??t give away any of the Psych Ward�??s secrets, but let me say that there will be a heck of a lot more than just foam skeletons springing out of closets,�?� he said.
The Jaycees �??Psych Ward�?� begins on Oct 3rd and runs throughout the month of October. The house is located at 12300 Woodbine in Redford Township, Michigan.
