TRAVERSE CITY – Thomas C. Kinnear, the founding Executive Director of the Zell Lurie Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies at the University of Michigan, has been added to the Tellurex Corp. Board of Directors.
“We are excited to welcome Tom to our board” said Tellurex Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Clyde McKenzie. “He was an early investor in Tellurex. He stayed with his judgment about the long term prospects for Tellurex and built his position through the recession and on up to the present. His peerless academic background, his broad hands-on experience in the development of emerging companies and his active roles in the establishment and growth of capital markets that are driving the resurgence of the State of Michigan make him a singular and very important addition to our company’s team of attentive and active directors.”
Kinnear was equally complementary about Tellurex:
“Tellurex Corporation is known for product innovations and developments of its own and for successful collaborations with others. The company has demonstrated deep thermoelectric technology insight based on years of research into thermoelectric materials and module design and assembly. I’m pleased to be part of the committed and talented board of Tellurex as the company drives to high levels of successful commercialization of its innovative products.”
Tellurex pioneered thermoelectric products and applications while opening or broadening the markets for the technology. The company develops, assembles and markets its own products and extensively collaborates with others on engineering and design of medical testing equipment, wireless sensors, thermally controlled enclosures, small personal power generators and many other applications in both power generation and thermal management.
