DETROIT – Global retail consulting company Urban Science has promoted two employees to vice presidents – Kathi Mehall to VP of technology and Sharif Farhat to VP of expert analytical services. Mehall will lead technical development and information services and Farhat will oversee the company�??s expert analytical services organization.

She’s an effective leader and will be instrumental in the planning, development and fielding of Urban Science’s expanding software offerings.”
Mehall will oversee both client software solution development and the global technology infrastructure of Urban Science. Mehall joins Urban Science from GMAC where she was vice president and chief information officer of corporate services. Previously, she served as director of planning for the CIO of General Motors, and as vice president of information services and ebusiness at ADP, a North American and European automotive dealership management systems and services provider.
Mehall is a member of the CIO Forum, a professional group for business technology leaders. She holds a Bachelor of Science in computer science from The Pennsylvania State University and resides in Northville.
Farhat will be responsible for leading and growing the expert analytical services organization, and training retail network location expert analysts. In addition, he will refine and improve Urban Science’s methodologies and develop new processes as the company expands retail network planning to additional clients and locations.
“Sharif is highly skilled at analyzing retail locations and market data, and he has long been an asset on the Urban Science team,” said Anderson. “Under his direction, our expert analysis business will be positioned for growth.”
Farhat holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Michigan State University and master�’s in business administration from the University of Detroit Mercy. He resides in Troy.
