DETROIT – Verizon Wireless launches the world’s first large-scale 4G Long Term Evolution network in Lansing and Flint June 16). The new network offers speeds up to 10 times faster than the company’s 3G network.
In Lansing, the new network covers nearly 1,200 square miles and approximately 330,000 people and is bordered by the following major roads:

? North ? Along Interstate 69 between Business 69 and U.S. Highway 27
? South ? Along Interstate 96 from Webberville to U.S. Highway 27/Interstate 69
? East ?Meridian Road just East of Okemos
? West ? Highway Interstate 96 East/U.S. Highway 27
In Flint, the new network covers nearly 688 square miles and approximately 440,000 people and is bordered by the following major roads:

? North ? Interstate 75 at Birch Run
? South ? Interstate 75 at Holly
? East ?Interstate 69 at Davison
? West ? Interstate 9 at Corruna
A variety of new smartphones, tablets, hotspots and notebooks are also available to tap the blazing fast speeds. Lansing and Flint join 74 markets nationwide that now have 4G LTE service.
