DETROIT – Six WSU College of Engineering alumni with outstanding professional accomplishments will be honored when they are inducted at Night of the Stars, the college’s annual celebration of achievement, on Oct. 3 at the college’s new Danto Engineering Development Center.

The inductees are: Suhada Jayasuriya, chair of the Texas A&M Department of Mechanical Engineering and resident of College Station, Texas; Raymond J. Tessier, group director of Environmental Services for GM�??s Worldwide Facilities Group and resident of Allen Park; George Y. Karmo, president of Tucker, Young, Jackson, Tull, Inc. of Detroit and resident of Farmington Hills; Sang-Kee Suh, member of the 18th Korean National Assembly and resident of Daegu, South Korea; Paul U. Strauss, psychiatrist, San Diego Mental Health Associates Medical Clinic and resident of La Jolla, Calif.; and Tapan Datta, professor, civil engineering, Wayne State University and resident of Bloomfield Hills.

In a special ceremony held Aug. 21 in Korea, College of Engineering Associate Dean Michele Grimm performed induction rights to Sang-Kee Suh, reflecting the reach of the college�??s global family.
