FERNDALE – Drone Law Pro Enrico Schaefer updates what’s happening with drones – and there is a lot going on in the world of drones. The Federal Aviation Administration will be coming out with new regulations for commercial operators that will allow anyone to fly a drone if they have a drone pilot’s license.

For those with recreational drones, pilot licenses will not be required, yet, but a lot of restrictions do apply. You can’t fly over anyone not involved in your operations. You have to fly your drone within line of site. You can’t fly your drone within five miles of an airport. And many other regs as well. If you break the rules, the fines could be $250,000 in fines and four years in jail.
