ANN ARBOR – The Israel-U.S. Binational Industrial Research and Development Foundation (BIRD) is hosting a breakfast Jan. 14 to share joint U.S.-Israel research and development opportunities. Andrea Yonah, US East Coast Representative, BIRD Foundation, will provide the update.
The BIRD Foundation’s mission is to stimulate, promote and support industrial R&D of mutual benefit to the U.S. and Israel. One-on-one meetings are available after the presentation for those interested in applying for BIRD Funding.
Daniel Blumenthal, Deputy Minister, Israel Economic Mission to the Midwest will discuss the Israeli eco-system. Paul Allard, Senior Engineer, Refrigeration, Whirlpool will be discussing Whirlpool’s BIRD funded project with Israeli company Hanita Coatings to develop a new generation of insulation solutions for energy efficient refrigerators.
Business@Breakfast is hosted by Vivacqua Law and co-sponsored by BIRD Foundation, Ann Arbor SPARK, Jewish Federation of Greater Ann Arbor and MIBB Educational Foundation. Registration and networking will begin at 8:30 am followed by breakfast and the program at 9am.
