FERNDALE – Michelle Gilbert, Vice President of Public Relations for the Heartland Region of Comcast, will spend $3 million to build out a 1 gigabit per second Internet service to the businesses, across Midtown and Downtown next year. Comcast also will build a 1,700 square foot Xfinity store that will open in January, plus a 1,900 square foot business office for Comcast employees that serve Detroit. Five new employees will be working in Detroit.
