ROYAL OAK – Lisa Vallee Smith, the CEO of Airfoil Group, M2 TechCast to talk about hot tech trends in 2016 and what we might expect in 2017. She said the rise of venture capital in the state is a very positive trend that will help spur the growth of many Michigan tech start-ups.
She also pointed out cybersecurity companies are on the rise. One in particular she mentioned was an Airfoil client company, Duo Security, a two-factor authentication specialist. Vallee Smith said cybersecurity has become a a major strength of the state.
Vallée Smith was also encouraged by the auto industry’s response to the transformation of the car with the movement towards software, sensors and services – mega trends that will shape Michigan’s biggest economic driver for decades to come.
