ROYAL OAK – Automation Alley COO Tom Kelly, fresh from the Hanover, Germany, trade fair, talks about how manufacturing is coming back, but in a smarter way. Skilled trades, factory automation, are creating a new type of manufacturing employee.
Kelly also talks about some upcoming trade missions, including a fall trip to Cuba. The delegation leaves on Halloween. The 33rd annual Havana Fair will attract 150,000 visitors to the island nation. Two weeks earlier, Automation Alley will be leading a trade mission to Mexico, on Oct. 15. Registration deadline is Sept. 15.
