FERNDALE – On May 18, Rick Beckers introduced CloudTech1 University, an evalution of the business he has been in for the past 35 years. He said he decided to create a university to evangelize cloud technology.
The first session of CloudTech1 University meeting was at CloudTech1 in Rochester Hills. During the first session, the business community was shown the power of 4G LTE Technology by Metro Wireless President and CEO Dominic Serra, who told the group, including Editor Mike Brennan, where this technology plugs into everything else and is perfect as a backup for wired connectivity. Wireless technology will eventually cover the Earth replacing most wired connections, he predicted. A second session in the afternoon was held for industry professionals.
Beckers plans to schedule at least one CloudTech1 University session each month, and move them around Southeast Michigan.
