ROYAL OAK – Gary Baker, the co-host of the Internet Advisor on WJR 760 AM in Detroit, joins Mike Brennan and Matt Roush on M2TechCast to discuss his weekly radio show that airs from 4 to 6 pm each Saturday. Gary discusses how the show was created more than 18 years ago, how it has evolved, and how it has remained on the air.
The first hour of the show is news and interviews, including a five-minute segment with MITechNews.Com Editor Mike Brennan. The second hour includes helpful tech support from the crew for personal computers, laptops, mobile and much more. The show, as it turns out, started by Foster Braun, the other co-host, phoning tech support at Online Tech, where Gary was the CEO, to complain about a poor computer connection. Turns out it was squirrels nibbling on Foster’s telephone line (yes computers used to connect to the Internet over telephone lines.) And the show was born.
