ROYAL OAK – Motor City Connect Founder Terry Bean discusses all the exciting events that were part of Detroit Startup Week in late May. More than 150 events across the city talking about the state of the city from an entrepreneurial perspective. He discusses the up-and-coming entrepreneurial rock stars driving the start-ups in downtown and throughout the metro area.
A couple of big things coming up. On November 1, 2016, Motor City Connect will celebrate its 10th anniversary. Terry’s gift to the city will include a celebration at the Buy Michigan Now event in August, including a booth at Utica’s Jimmy John field. He also plans to do a Motor City Connect Detroit Tigers baseball game get together in July.
Trip Nest is another endeavor, Terry in involved in. Treps Nest is a place for entrepreneurs to go and receive the attention, programming and systems needed to grow themselves, their business and ultimately obtain funding.
