DETROIT – TEDxDetroit is gathering the region’s leading thinkers, designers, entrepreneurs, educators, scientists and artists in Detroit for a one-day event of storytelling, collaboration and connection on Wednesday, November 12th at the Durfee Innovation Society.

“We’re excited to bring this year’s event to the Opportunity Hub at Durfee Innovation Society, where attendees can immerse themselves in the city’s communities,” said Terry Bean, TryBean Founder and TEDxDetroit Executive Producer. “Detroit is home to countless change makers and leaders and this event provides a space to unite their ideas and turn them into action.”

The annual gathering spotlights the remarkable people, companies and technologies that make Detroit a great place to live, work and play. Hundreds of attendees will come together for inspiring and dynamic talks from a handful of creative minds, all designed to spark bold ideas and forward thinking to help drive continued growth across the city.

This year, TEDxDetroit will take attendees inside some of their most popular talks. The Durfee Innovation Society (DIS) project and Life Remodeled have been the subject of several talks at TEDxDetroit. This year, the auditorium at DIS will serve as the main stage for our speakers and TEDxLabs will allow attendees to experience the inspiring work of a Detroit nonprofit dedicated to neighborhood revitalization that is deeply integrated in the communities of the city.

Doors will open at 12:30 pm for open house tours, with speakers scheduled to present from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
