DETROIT – HatchDetroit, now in its 11th year, is hosted by TechTown and sponsored by Comerica Bank. Megan Storey, senior vice president at Comerica Bank joins MITech Tv to update the 2024 contest.
The $100,000 purse will go to one business startup in Detroit, Hamtramck or Highland Park. Since the contest began, more than 50 Hatch alumni businesses have opened a storefront, crediting the contest as a major accelerator in their launch.
Hatch alumni collectively employ more than 500 people, many of whom reside in Detroit. Some contest winners include Little Liberia, Baobab Fare, Sister Pie, Batch Brewing, Meta Physica Wellness Center and LaFeria.
