ANN ARBOR – On Monday Sept. 11 we dedicated MITech TV to remembering the 9/11 attacks that also triggered cybersecurity awareness in the United States. While the attack was physical, all the warning signs that a terrorist attack was coming were either ignored or not taken seriously by the US government.

On the show are two cybersecurity experts, Richard Stiennon from IT-Harvest, com and Dan Lohrmann, CISO for Presidio.com. Both provided reflections on where they were when the commercial jets struck the twin towers on Sept. 11, 2001.

They also update the latest tips for preventing terrorists, whether criminal gangs or state sponsored, out of business computer networks.

What’s more they recommend anyone in Michigan that is serious about learning more about cyber threats to attend the Michigan Cyber Summit Oct. 18-19 at the Novi Expo Center.
