CLEVELAND – The Software Guild, a coding bootcamp for students to learn either .NET/C# or Java, announced the launch of a new online program for adult learners nationwide.
The Software Guild’s online program is ideal for those looking to learn entry-level software development skills but do not have the time to commit to the immersive, full-time programs currently offered. All classes are asynchronous and can be completed when it is convenient for the student. Students will only need to commit to a time requirement of 20 hours per week and will complete the program in nine months.
This program provides students with full-time commitments a part-time alternative to The Software Guild’s face-to-face, 12-week on-the-ground courses currently available in Akron, OH, Louisville, KY and Minneapolis, MN.
“We are thrilled to expand our footprint and reach students across the country,” said Eric Wise, Chief Academic Officer of The Software Guild. “The demand for skilled software developers will continue to grow as our world becomes increasingly dependent on technology so it was imperative we offered an online program to ensure our country has the skilled workers it needs for continued economic growth.”
In its Ohio, Kentucky and Minnesota locations, The Software Guild has a 95 percent job placement rate for its graduates who often see a minimum of a $20,000 increase in pay after completing the program.
“There are thousands of job opportunities across the United States for those with .NET and Java programming skills,” said Wise. “By offering an online program we can help more students transition into new careers while supporting more employers in their search for qualified and ambitious employees.”
The Software Guild, which is owned and operated by online education technology solution provider The Learning House, Inc., is an accelerated, hands-on coding bootcamp where individuals learn to be software developers in 12 weeks. Apprentices learn either .NET or Java and acquire the skills needed for entry-level developer positions. The Guild has more than 100 companies in its employer network, a 95 percent job placement rate and master instructors with an average of more than ten years of industry experience. Currently, The Software Guild has locations in Akron, Ohio; Louisville, Ky.; and Minneapolis, Minn.
