FERNDALE – Drone Law Pro’s Enrico Schaefer talks about what’s hot in drone law. The good news is more than 300,000 recreational drone users have registered their drones with the Federal Aviation Administration since the new law triggered on Dec. 21. Disney has asked the FAA for permission to fly a squadron of lighted drones over its theme parks – this after Disney lobbied the FAA for a no-fly zone over those very same parks to keep banner totting planes from advertising over Disneyland and Disney World. He also details the new rules that hobbyist drone pilots need to know before they take to the skies – rules that if violated pack big fines and possible jail time.
