FERNDALE – The Travel Michigan decision to hire a Florida marketing company to rebuild the Pure Michigan website in a lucrative $400,000 contract has the Michigan web development community up in arms. On Monday, Feb. 29, Travel Michigan Spokesman Michelle Grinnell will appear on M2 (Squared) TechCast to explain the reasoning. Grinnell joins the show, on the PodcastDetroit.Com Network, at 3 pm.

Also on the show Monday will be Comcast Business’ Kathy Hickey, Executive Director Marketing, who will discuss the cable company’s Innovations for Entrepreneurs Contest where companies that can explain in a 250-word essay how their business would be enhanced by technology and earn a chance to win up to $30,000 in cash, plus mentoring with a team of business experts. She appears at 3:30 pm.

Then at 3:45, Detroit Public TV President Rich Homberg discusses an event on March 4 at the Michigan Science Center highlighting its new STEMinista Project to introduce middle school girls to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
