LANSING – Gov. Rick Snyder has appointed Lee Graham of Fenton as well as the reappointed Helen Dietrich of Conklin, Abdul Haidous of Wayne, Rhetta Hunyaday of Clio, Marcus James of Jackson, Marilyn Moran of Onaway, Douglas Parkes of Manistee, and Brad Rusthoven of Lansing to the Governor’s Talent Investment Board.
The Governor’s Talent Investment Board is charged with advising and assisting the Governor regarding compliance with the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014. The board brings together employers, organized labor and community-based organizations, including apprenticeship programs to make recommendations on how to best develop workforce talent across the state.
“Developing talent is vitally important for us to continue growing Michigan’s economic strength,” Snyder said. “I thank these individuals for their commitment, and sharing their expertise as we continue to make progress in this area.”
Members will serve three-year terms expiring April 15, 2020.
